The main issue about the SCCY SPX-2 is the trigger. As mentioned before, the reset is very long, and the chances of short-stroking the trigger is easy. However, all this can be fixed by training with the pistol until you are accustomed to the long trigger-pull. To some, the sound of the reset isn’t clear or loud enough to be heard.

Feb 12, 2020 · Installed a SCCY CPX-2 trigger spring kit and noticed a big difference right away. Installation was fairly easy if you follow the video. I was a little clumsy and had to chase the firing pin across the room a half dozen times and had some other minor issues due to big fat fingers and not having the 'proper' tools. Went to the range and fired about 20 rounds, came home and installed the trigger kit. Next day went back to the range and fired another 20 rounds. The trigger pull was a tremendous difference, the recoil was even better with the heavier recoil spring.
